Assigning Running Numbers to a Locomotive in Surveyor In this tutorial you will learn how to assign a running number to a locomotive in surveyor. NOTE The locomotive shown has running number support. Not all locomotives support running numbers. |
After you have added a locomotive to your layout make sure the "Trains Tab" is still open. Select the button with a question mark in the center of it and click on the locomotive that you want to assign a number to.

|
A new window will appear called the "Properties" window. It should say next to "Running Number" that there is no running number. Double click on the underlined "no running number" and a new window will appear called "Running Number:"

Type a number into the window. In this case I have typed 4564. If the locomotive does not support 4 numbers then the last number or numbers will be ignored.Once you have a number typed in click on the "tick" icon to close down the window and now in the "Properties" tab next to "Running Number" it should now say 4564 or the number that you typed in.

Click on the "Tick" again and you should have a number on your locomotive similar to figure 6.
